Chris has worked in the industry for more than 20 years, during which time he has built several infrastructure businesses from the ground up.  Chris specialises in large infrastructure projects with experience ranging from commercial management to construction programming & construction management with a focus on relationship contracting.  Chris has experienced both the highs and the lows of construction but has never lost his drive and passion for the industry.

Embracing lessons learnt, Chris is now focused on leading the industry on the delivery of innovative and collaborative solutions for sustainable outcomes on all projects undertaken by i2S.  On the many multi-billion dollar projects that Chris has managed he has further delivered best project outcomes for all clients through value engineering and design optimisation.

Jarrod O'Kane

Jarrod O’Kane

National Operations Manager

Jarrod’s strength is in the diversity of his senior operational management and leadership capabilities, with over two and a half decades of experience leading operational technology teams in critical infrastructure environments across geographically dispersed locations. Some of Jarrod’s experiences have encompassed law enforcement technology, toll-road and tunnel safety/control systems.

Jarrod is commercially astute with a ‘hands-on’ work style in developing or overhauling operational capabilities to realign and comply with new corporate and government client service expectations. Jarrod will primarily be based in our Victoria office and will travel between our NSW and QLD offices to ensure that best practice operational techniques are used to minimise risk and position project outcomes.

Commercial Manager

For the past decade, Ben has been involved with numerous major projects within the roads & transport infrastructure sector, working with both corporate and project teams to ensure successful outcomes relevant to all aspects of project management, contract compliance, cost management & QHSE.  During this time Ben has taken on a number of roles including Contracts Administrator, Operations Manager, Business Services Manager and has now recently been appointed to Commercial Manager.

Working in such a diverse range of positions has allowed Ben to obtain an in depth understanding of how all business functions can and must work cohesively to achieve sustainable and successful outcomes which he is now applying to the commercial practices of the business.

Financial Controller

After completing a Bachelor of Commerce Degree Trevor then went on to study to become a Certified Practicing Accountant. With 30 years of experience working in a vast array of industry sectors in both Australia and overseas that include but not limited to Motor Sport and Civil Construction.

Throughout Trevor’s career he has provided high level support through due diligence process by streamlining major event reporting processes in the delivery of timely information on forecast and actual results to the Board. Trevor has been responsible for managing the full finance functions within diverse business structures as well as cash flow management and continuous reviewing of revenue and cost allocation methodologies.

With Trevor also providing risk management, strategic planning and execution of detailed budgeting and rolling forecasting along with a plethora of other knowledge and expertise that he brings to i2S, this will make for a positive contribution to our organisation.

Andrew Gillett

Estimations and Contracts Manager

Andrew’s key attribute is his flexibility across a diverse range of positions within the construction management field from Site Supervisor, Estimator/Cost Planner to now being our Estimations and Contracts Manager. Proving himself proficient in cost planning, quantity surveying, estimating, Project Management and Business Development.  Having a proven track record in successfully tendering schedule of rates contracts and his meticulous approach to document and project analysis ensures that specific tender prices are determined taking into account identified risk and potential variations and can build and manage bid submissions directly tailored to the client’s needs, also taking into account lead times, due dates, commercial interests, current company capacity and client relationships to ensure all hold points are mitigated and all deadlines are met.

Holding a Bachelor of Urban Development Degree – Majoring in Construction Management Andrew has been involved in the management process of several projects that include but not limited to Origin Alliance – Dinmore to Goodna Road Upgrade, Airport Link, Rockhampton Airport AGL facilities, Gold Coast Light Rail (GCLR) and Moreton Bay Rail Link, and has experience in project staging, planning, resource selection and invoicing.

Peter Dodds

Engineering Manager

A specialist in the field of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), electronics, programming, enforcement cameras, and systems design Peter serves as a great asset to the Engineering and Projects divisions of the company.  After completing his Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) / Bachelor of Business Administration in 2001 he immediately found opportunity with renowned engineering firm SKM where he spent 5 years providing Design and Construct Solutions to some of the biggest industry players.

Honing in on his passion for product development and systems integration Peter took his next career step working in a senior leadership role at Gatso Australia which was heavily involved with Enforcement Systems.  Peter now looks to apply his skills in a more holistic manner across a greater number of related areas throughout the infrastructure sector.

Operations Manager NSW

Derrick is extensively experienced having worked for 20+ years in the Transport and Infrastructure industry in all areas of business operations. Throughout his career, Derrick has held a number of senior positions and has been responsible for the successful delivery of numerous Major Projects through strategic planning and risk mitigation; all the while working collaboratively with the client, subcontractors and his team which has enabled Derrick the ability to build strong effective relationships.

Derrick will now be applying his vast knowledge and experience to our NSW operations, overseeing our continuing development and growth within the region.

Senior Project Manager

As a qualified electrical fitter mechanic David takes on a very hands-on approach to his work, providing insight and teachings to all his direct reporting supervisors and leading hands in an effort to broaden their technical skills and improve process efficiency.

David has worked on almost every major electrical and ITS infrastructure projects in SEQ for the last 10 years including; Ipswich Motorway Upgrade (Wacol to Darra), Gateway Motorway Upgrade South, Airport Link, Cooroy to Curra Stg 2, Ipswich Motorway Upgrade (Dinmore to Goodna) and more.  David’s extensive project management and technical experience has been invaluable, contributing to the development of more streamlined construction practices and cost saving methods.

Bevan has worked in the electrical infrastructure industry for over 27 years’ and has an extensive background in electrical engineering, specialising in Electrical and Mechanical Design and Installation.

Throughout his career, Bevan has gained extensive experience in ITS, Enforcement and Safety Solutions including Communications and Data installations. His years of experience give him the foresight and knowledge to design and implement innovative ideas for various clients; and has been instrumental in the success of a number of major infrastructure projects including the Gold Coast Rapid Transit (GCRT), M5 widening, Clem 7 Tunnel, M1 Pacific Motorway, Western Ring Road and more.

Karl Hanghofer

Senior Project Manager

Karl has worked in the in the Traffic Signal / ITS Equipment Fault attendance, maintenance and construction Industry for 15 + years and holds both Electrical and Contractor Electrical Licences.  Being a self motivated, results driven, quality focused person with a logical and methodical approach to achieving tasks and objectives; being extremely reliable, dedicated and decisive and using his initiative to develop effective solutions to problems, Karl has been able to work his way up through the ranks from when he started as an apprentice electrician.

Karl is adaptable and flexible and takes a hands on approach to his work providing supervision, mentoring and training of staff and contractors as well as providing technical support to field staff and management and has a high technical understanding of Traffic signal technologies. Karl has been instrumental in the success of a number of projects that include but not limited to the Upgrade to the Sydenham Tidal Flow (automated lane changing system) and SCATS regional computer cabins in the Sydney southern area.

As we move further into a world where technology is key to success, it is important to have the right people on board to manage the interactions between the physical and the digital, a space that Josh is most familiar. Josh has a passion for innovation and the smarts when it comes to systems, software, integration and the cloud. Josh has been a driving force in our ongoing efforts to provide more streamlined technology solutions to our clients as well as the movement toward implementing fully digital management systems.

Now moving from Integration Manager across to Project Manager this will see Josh working together with multiple Government Departments which will bring both the private and commercial sectors together. Josh has strong interpersonal skills, is a meticulous manager of project requirements always staying focused on the voice of the client. Coupled with Josh’s teamwork and leadership skills with groups of varying personalities and his unique negotiating prowess these qualities will notably translate in his ability to motivate a team to care about its projects, value the stakeholders and invest in the project’s success.

Geoff holds his Electrical and Contractor Electrical licences and has not only worked in both the Mining and Infrastructure sectors for over 20 years that have included FIFO, he also started his own businesses at the age of twenty which has allowed him to gain an extensive amount of experience and knowledge that he will now apply within his role at i2S.

Throughout his career, Geoff has held numerous positions which have included Supervisor, Superintendent, Business  Development Manager generating $6 Million worth of new business; and a Quality Assurance Co-Ordinator which shows he has great leadership skills by being confident in his decision making, 100% focus driven, self-motivated as well as flexible and adaptable to changing conditions.

Geoff has worked on the 4 biggest projects within the Brisbane and Gold Coast regions over the last 10 years that include the Gold Coast Light Rail (GCLR) and the Airport Link Tunnel projects and has a deep understanding of Energex, Department of Main Roads and Gold Coast City Council policies and procedures.

Project Manager

Peter holds a Certificate IV in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering and a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and has been responsible for the planning, coordination and delivery of traffic signal and intersection upgrades as well as special projects such as UPS installation and commissioning and Civil upgrades to intersections and modernisation.

Peter has had to be flexible and adaptable to ever changing conditions in order to accomplish set tasks and meet tight deadlines, all whilst balancing the day to day priorities and the long term objectives in a safe and professional manner in order to deliver quality projects within scheduled timeframes and set budget.
